Mrs. Wendy Augustus
Executive Director

As Executive Director of BHCT, Mrs. Augustus is responsible for providing strategic direction and oversight for the Trust and its range of initiatives. She also represents the Trust on three boards—the BHB Board of Trustees, Governance Committee for BHB and the Project Board. In addition, she is an ex-officio on the BHCT Board of Trustees.
Before joining BHCT, Mrs. Augustus worked as an independent business consultant, primarily within the non-profit sector. Prior to that, she served as a Project Manager/Consultant at the XL Foundation, where she was responsible for strategic analysis and process evaluation. She previously has held managerial positions at Transworld Oil and the Bank of Bermuda Limited.
Mrs. Augustus earned her business degree from Oakwood College in Huntsville, Alabama. She was the first Bermudian to receive a Corporate Community Relations Certification from Boston College; was a participant at the Williamsburg Development Institute on successful fundraising processes, solicitation and proposal writing; and has trained with members and staff at the Fund for Johns Hopkins Medicine on healthcare fundraising. Recently, she earned her executive certificate in Nonprofit Management at Georgetown University.
A member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Mrs. Augustus currently is a Board Member of Bermuda Hospitals Board, Bermuda College Board of Governors, and Family Court Special Panel. She also is a member of the Allocations Committee of the Argo Foundation Board. She has served as the past President of Bermuda National PTA and is a past member of Bermuda Careers Centre, Bermuda Dance Company and BIBA’s Local Awareness Committee. She has received the Bermuda International Business Association Award for her work with the Bermuda National PTA as well as the Business Professional Women’s Association award for her community service, and has been recognized by Bermuda Chamber of Commerce for “100 Women who Rock the Rock.
L. Lorraine (Lori) Ingram
Manager Operations/Prospect Research

As the Trust’s Manager Operations/Prospect Researcher, Ms. Ingram is responsible for constituency research and maintaining the Trust’s comprehensive databases. In addition to running the day to day operations of the Trust office as the primary contact for vendors and service providers she also acts as administrative liaison to the board.
Prior to joining BHCT in August 2004 as a Campaign Coordinator/Office Manager, Ms. Ingram worked at the Bank of Bermuda as a Pension Administrator for Global Pension Services (formally Compass Pension Trust). Before entering the corporate world, Ms. Ingram managed her own fashion design company specialising in bridal wear.
Ms. Ingram is a graduate of The Berkeley Institute, and holds a BFA in Fashion Design from The American InterContinental University London, England and Atlanta, Georgia (formerly The American College), where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. Since joining The Bermuda Hospitals Charitable Trust, she received a Certificate in Nonprofit Management at The University of Illinois at Chicago, The College of Urban Planning and Public Affairs, completing the programme with a 4.0.
DeShae DeShields
Marketing and Events Coordinator

Ms. DeShields is responsible for all strategic marketing and communications initiatives for BHCT. In addition, she directs planning for all special events and fundraisers for which BHCT is a beneficiary.
Before joining the Bermuda Hospitals Charitable Trust in early 2010, Ms. DeShields worked in Toronto, Canada as an events coordinator while completing her post-graduate studies. In summer 2009, she was the Marketplace Coordinator for the Scotiabank Caribana Festival and was responsible for all vendors and sponsors involved in each event. Over the past year, she also has planned fundraisers in support of Ronald McDonald House Charities and the St. Felix Center in Bermuda.
Ms. DeShields graduated with a double major (Bachelor of Professional Writing/ Bachelor of Communication Studies) from York University and with a Post-Graduate Certificate in Sports and Event Marketing from George Brown College.
