AIG boost Hospital fund by $100,000

AIG Bermuda has donated $100,000 to the Bermuda Hospitals Charitable Trust’s fundraising campaign bringing the total raised to date to $28 million.

The charity is hoping to raise $40 million to help transform King Edward VII Memorial into a world-class facility by next year.

AIG Bermuda president and CEO Anthony Philip said: “We are pleased to be a contributor to this worthwhile project to enhance the delivery of healthcare in Bermuda.”

Added BHCT chairman Philip Butterfield: “We are very much thankful to AIG for its support and contribution to the Why it Matters capital campaign. The donation is not only significant to the KEMH redevelopment project but to our community as well. Looking forward, we anticipate the full and positive impact the enhanced facility will have on the Island.”
